Donated by Steven A. Haley
Paver location: 5-A (see map)
I come from a strong SMU family. One grandfather donated money when the school was organizing and received a Founder's medal. My mother and father, along with their total of five siblings (my aunts and uncles) went to SMU. My three brothers and I, along with two cousins and two future sisters-in-law were Mustangs. There are now six nieces and nephews and two nieces by marriage who also went to SMU. So when my daughter entered high school, I bought a paver just in the unlikely case that she would ultimately decide to go there also. She is now a Senior and has submitted her application and will likely be a Freshman at SMU next Fall. Hopefully the paver will be something she can see on her way to class and use it for inspiration to uphold the traditions of her family.
Images of the Centennial Promenade and sample pavers are for conceptual purposes only and may not reflect the final design, color, material, texture or engraving style. Pavers are grouped in sections based on purchase date. Multiple pavers purchased at the same time by an individual are usually located in the same section.
