Myriam and I (Harold)-being married one year came to SMU in June 1954 -lived in the Perkins Seminary Martin Hall for couples. There and in the class room, life long friendships were formed. I also worked at Lovers Lane Methodist Church (when it was ON Lovers Lane!) and Myriam taught school in Oak Cliff and attend SMU evening graduate school.
We both went Summers and I finished the three years seminary in 26 months - we both graduated with our Masters in August 1956.
I spent my 40+ years ministry in South Texas- serving four churches the first half and the next 21 years as President of Methodist Mission Home (Now Providence Place) in San Antonio. Myriam taught in college or public school everywhere we lived. Along the way we had two wonderful daughters - Becky and Shelly.
We are so grateful for SMU-it's founders, supporters and enhancers -and especially the professors who not only taught us but nurtured and guided us all along the way. THANKS S.M.U.! Harold and Myriam B.
