Edith Kenney Duncan was a devoted employee of SMU from 1953 until her retirement in 1982. She began her career at SMU as secretary to President Umphrey Lee. Later she was secretary and Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School. She also served as administrative assistant to the School of Humanities and Sciences, The College and Dedman College (as the name of the school evolved). Her daughters, Loma Kenney Stooksberry and Peggy Kenney Alexander, graduated from SMU. A grandson, John Eric Alexander, graduated from Dedman School of Law. Mrs. Duncan passed away August 23, 2015.
