Table Information for ADM_INTERESTS:

Table: ADM_INTERESTS - Admission Interests

Short Description: Academic interests expressed by admissions applicants

Long Description: Students select these interests on their admissions application. Interests are more like subjects, and not majors.

Useful Fields:

Field Name	Field Descr
EMPLID	Student/Person ID number
ACAD_CAREER	Code for Academic Career. Value attached to the student.
EFFDT	Date the data or action takes effect
EXT_SUBJECT_AREA	Subject code from an external source
PRIORITY	Priority ranking of academic interests

Criteria Notes:

Include ACAD_CAREER in the join.

May lose people if you do not outer join

Do not pull description from this record. Join to EXT_SUBJECT_TBL for the description.

Students usually select more than 1. Use PRIORITY if you need to rank or select one.
