Caleb Hern is a clarinetist in the Dallas, TX area who has performed in numerous ensembles throughout his time in the Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts. Currently a junior, he has played alongside the Dallas Winds, Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, Meadows Symphony Orchestra, Meadows Wind Ensemble, SYZYGY the new world ensemble, and the Dallas Neo-classical Ballet during his time as a classically trained musician. He has been taught under the deft hand of many music educators and clarinet performers from the area including Rebecca Wenck, Dr. John Scott, Kimberly Cole Luevano, Nathan Williams, Deborah Fabian, Jerry Junkin, and Paul Garner. His strenuous dedication and diligent work ethic exude his passion for making music with others that strike awe into listeners. Among his accolades include the 2014 most outstanding soloist at TMEA solo and ensemble, 2015 most outstanding ensemble at TMEA solo and ensemble, and 2015 TMEA All-State Philharmonic Orchestra. His continued drive to create sonorous blends of music is essential in any ensemble or solo performance.
