Since 2011, we have made it our mission to increase the accessibility of music across the Dallas metroplex.
Bridge the Gap Chamber Players is a chamber music nonprofit organization based in Dallas, Texas comprised of young professional artists and arts administrators from Southern Methodist University with a passion for sharing their love of music through free public chamber music concerts. While rooted in classical music, we are proponents of all music and program a wide variety of ensembles including string quartets, brass quintets, jazz combos, world music ensembles, and electronic music.
Notable Bridge the Gap performances include the opening of Klyde Warren Park in 2012, the opening of the Mockingbird Pedestrian Bridge in 2017, the Dallas Festival of Ideas in 2017, and the Dallas Book Festival in 2018. Bridge the Gap ensembles have also performed at the Latino Cultural Center, McFarlin Auditorium, Site131 Art Gallery, and Caruth Auditorium. Since 2016, we have performed every Friday at Mockingbird Station as part of a free concert series with the University Crossing Public Improvement District called Music on Mockingbird.
