About this creative

Josephine is a classical pianist who began playing the piano at the age of four. She is an undergraduate at Southern Methodist University and is working towards a double major in Music Performance (with Dr. Catharine Lysinger) and Biology. In recent years, she has received top prize awards from many state and national level competitions including the Steinway & Sons Competition, the Lynn Harrell Competition, the Collin County Young Artist Competition, the Music Teachers National Association Competition, the Texas Music Teachers Association Competition, and the Dallas Symphonic Festival. In 2016, she was awarded the Grand Prize winner at the McKinney Young Artist Competition. In her music career, she has attended numerous piano recitals/concerts, summer festivals, and had the privilege to perform in master classes with local and international teachers. In summer 2018, Josephine performed Beethoven Concerto No. 5 as the Rising Star of the Basically Beethoven Festival. Josephine enjoys spending her summers performing at retirement homes. She offers services in solo performances, accompanying, and teaching.
