Hello, my name is Matt Laskowski and I am a first year graduate student attending Southern Methodist University this fall where I will be studying trombone performance with former Dallas Symphony principal trombonist, Mr. John Kitzman.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance in Trombone from the University of Michigan where I studied with Professor David Jackson. I also had the opportunity of studying with Dr. Per Brevig, former MET Opera principal trombonist and faculty of Juilliard while studying at the Aspen Music Festival these past two summers.
I am driven to performing at the highest musical standards and developing students to reach their potential. I love to perform in a variety of settings such as churches, restaurants, and other venues either as a solo artist, or with my colleagues in the Mustang Brass Quintet. I am also currently a private low brass instructor for Duncanville ISD where I help students develop their fundamental skills and musicianship. If you are are looking for musicians for your next musical experience, please feel free to contact me regarding solo or brass quintet performance and teaching opportunities. I look forward to meeting you!
