Jonathan Valenzuela is a classical guitarist and pianist in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He has been studying the guitar for seven years and the piano for eleven. He currently studies classical guitar at Southern Methodist University under the tutelage of world-renowned guitarist Robert Guthrie, and is pursuing Bachelors of Music in Guitar Performance and Music Education. Jonathan has performed for a variety of venues, including the George W. Bush Presidential Library, Huitt-Zollars Incorporated, First United Lutheran Church, Caruth Auditorium, Saint Luke Episcopal Church, Greer Garson Theater, Baylor University, O'Donnell Recital Hall, the Latino Cultural Center, Meadows Museum, Voertman Concert Hall, and many other private and public functions. His repertoire consists of classical, Spanish, jazz, and Latin American music. Jonathan performs at weddings, restaurants, parties, museums, private gatherings, churches, funerals, holiday/special occasions, corporate events, and a variety of other functions. In addition to performing, he has three years of private and studio teaching and offers guitar, piano, ukulele, and bass lessons. In addition to teaching traditional piano and classical guitar, he also teaches more popular genres such as rock, pop, and jazz. His students on each instrument range from beginners to advanced students. Jonathan also works as an accompanist.
