Tomlin Su is currently a graduate student at the Southern Methodist University studying with Professor Emanuel Borok. Originally from Los Angeles, he loves playing all types of music for fun and collaborating with his brothers, who are also musicians. When he was younger, Tomlin spent a lot of his time playing in his church where he played everything from CCM worship bands to solo hymns. Prior to attending SMU, he was a member of the American Youth Symphony and a student at the Colburn School of Performing Arts.
For the past two summers Tomlin has attended the Aspen Music Festival where he studied under Professor Naoko Tanaka. He has also participated in numerous masterclasses where he was able to work with renowned violinists Shmuel Ashkenasi, Paul Kantor, Andrés Cárdenes and Aaron Rosand.
Currently, Tomlin resides in Dallas where he teaches and performs, and works as a freelance musician and student.
