Alyson Marie Davis

Bio

Hello! I am Alyson Marie Davie, and I have been playing the cello since I was 4 years old.

Ever since I can remember, music has been a part of my life. When I play and listen to it, my heart lifts up with joy. I love having the ability to express emotion and connect with people without using words.

I am capable of performing many genres of music including classical, Broadway musicals, and movie soundtracks. In past experiences, I have performed solo background music in many venues including the restaurant, Abuelo's, in Plano, TX, and Tour of Homes, in Rockwall.

Today, I study under Andreas Diaz, cello professor at SMU. I've also studied under Christopher Adkins, principle cellist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO), and Jennifer Humphreys, member of the DSO. Before them, I studied under my mother, Tracy Davis, retired orchestra coordinator and director in Rockwall, TX. I am a 2-year Texas All-State cellist having performed in the Philharmonic Orchestra (2016) and the Symphony Orchestra (2017). In addition I have made Superior (1+) ratings in the Texas Solo-Ensemble Contest 4 years in a row.

I play with heart and living soul. I look forward to playing for you!
