Alissa Roca



Bio

Alissa Roca, Soprano, enjoys performing in a variety of styles ranging from Baroque to Contemporary and everything in between (yes, that includes musical theater!). She graduated with a Master of Music from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. Alissa is currently pursuing a Performer's Diploma at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she performed the title role in Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah and The Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute with Meadows Opera as well as a number of large works with their contemporary music ensemble SYZYGY. This season’s highlights include Adina in Donizetti’s L'Elisir d'Amore with Meadows Opera Theatre, John Corigliano’s Mr. Tambourine Man with the University of Texas New Music Ensemble, Ligeti's Mysteries of the Macabre with SYZYGY and Bastienne in The Dallas Opera’s touring production of Mozart’s Bastien and Bastienne.
