Madison Rice



Bio

Madison Rice, Mezzo Soprano is a Junior Vocal Performance major at SMU. She is an active member of The Meadows Opera Theatre, and the founder and manager of Stampede A Cappella. Madison has participated in training programs such as The Houston Grand Opera High School Voice Studio and Manhattan Opera Studio where she sang Hänsel in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel this summer. She has been featured as a soloist with the Highland Park Chorale's performance of Mendelssohn's Elijah and the Meadows Choir, and performed in various concerts on campus in scenes from Sondheim's Into The Woods, Gounod's Romeo st Juliette, Mozart's Le Nozze Di Figaro, and Porter's Anything Goes among others.

Madison is an active voice teacher at Zhen Music and Arts in Dallas where she teaches students of all ages. She has utilized her dance experience as a choreographer for Meadows Opera Theatre as well as various Junior High and High School choir and theatre programs.
