Gifts of all sizes from faculty and staff help transform the University from the inside out.
During the 2013-2014 school year, 1,416 faculty and staff (64%) made gifts to SMU to support initiatives that were most important to them. During the campaign, employees have collectively funded annual student scholarships, honored colleagues with pavers on the Centennial Promenade, supported fellow faculty members through President’s Partners grants, and provided needed funds for departments, special initiatives and student programs.
As we approach the final full fiscal year of the Second Century Campaign, SMU hopes to inspire a record number of its faculty and staff to make a gift. Members of the Faculty and Staff Campaign Steering Committee have worked diligently to inspire their colleagues and share the importance of faculty and staff giving in the life of SMU. If you are a member of SMU’s faculty and staff, there are numerous ways to join the stampede, from giving through payroll deduction, making a one-time gift or simply sharing why you give with your colleagues.
Information about school and unit goals for the upcoming school year is not yet available, but you can see information about last year's faculty and staff campaign at smu.edu/fs.
